Vibrant holiday trees and indoor ice skating come to the Cradle of Aviation Museum every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving, all in honor of the 30th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees. For the past three decades, the museum has put designer-decorated trees on display to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County in a true act of holiday goodwill.
Come to the museum between November 29th and December 1st to see the array of colorfully decorated trees. They’re all for sale, and typically purchased by large corporations who display them in their lobbies or donate them to local hospitals or schools. But you’re welcome to pay the general admission fee ($15) and just enjoy gazing upon the trees. The festival also boasts a vendor marketplace, live entertainment, a gingerbread village, and even free indoor ice skating.
