The only thing more engaging than an outdoor yoga class is an outdoor yoga class that involves barnyard animals. That’s exactly what you’ll find at the goat yoga sessions hosted by the Smithtown Historical Society this summer. Another one is coming up on Friday, July 26th with classes at both 5:30 and 6:45 p.m., so take your pick and be part of the fun.
Come to the Smithtown Historical Society’s lawn at your chosen class time and lay out your yoga mat for practice. As you flow through a series designed by Kelly Mitchell, a yoga instructor from The Buddha Barn, don’t be surprised if you get a bit distracted. After all, adorable goats from Steppin’ Out Ponies and Petting Zoo will be wandering in between yogis—one might even perch on your back during downward-facing dog! RSVP online ($25) to ensure you have a spot at goat yoga.
